    Lake Texoma

    Will be at Texoma in 2 weeks,staying near the dam,will fish be spawning or still pre spawn?Looking for large and smallmouth bass.This is my first trip there.Thanks

    Tom, there's not a lot of discussion on here about Texoma. You might try Texas Fishing Forum. It's based out of Dallas so a lot of activity from North Tx anglers there.

    Had a championship tournament there last summer.
    Five out of the top six were fishing rip rap by the dam.
    Only thing I got going was flipping the tire reefs in front of marinas. Had the bites just lost a couple of key fish.

    Yep fish the rip rap with chatter baits at night for the smallmouth.

    Have caught nice smallies in butterfly cove and other coves on the Texas side. Son had a nice one on in Crappie cove that got off in a HS tourney.
