    Another ? switching oil type

I am thinking about switching to synthetic oil for my 2 stroke 90 mercury 1B185362.

Will it be an advantage to do so ?

And if so currently there is about a quart in oil reserve tank, should I empty before adding synthetic or just mix ?

    as always thanks for advice....

Quicksilver IS Mercury. Different bottle and labeling sold by non-Mercury dealers.
