I was listening to The Kingston Trio on youtube when one of them told a joke. I only heard the end of it but here's my recollection:

A man was on his porch when a snail slid by. He picked it up and threw it into the woods. A few weeks later he heard a knock on the door, it was the snail.

"What was that all about?".
