    Satisfied with prop performance

If you are satisfied with the way your prop is performing would you still spend the money and have it balanced and blue printed ? I am running a Tempest plus, I know they can be improved quite a bit, just not sure if I want to mess with it.

Some of the 25P Tempest run really good out of the box. You might have a good one that doesn't require any work. My experience with Tempest props is the even pitches require some tuning.

I have been really happy with my box stock 24 Fury, 9 times out of 10 i usually send it to Mark first thing but this time i am going to let it ride unless i damage it some way.

I have a worked 24 tempest that is great. I had great expectations for the the fury ( reading results here) could not get much bow lift with it. I may have gave up early, given my love of tempest props.

You're running a 24P Tempest on a CX20? What are you hitting for max RPM's?

1000- 2000 in WV, sea level in Florida. It is amazing what elevation does to prop performance. I occasionally go to a lake that is 3500 ft and it sucks top end and hole hole out to the motor.

Thanks again. I'm normally fishing waters that are 1,000 to 1,500 elevation. I have a 2022 CX21 w/Mercury 250 ProXS 4S. A couple friends with the same boat/motor setup are running 25P Tempest in the cooler months and the 24P Tempest during the summer. I have a Mark Croxton worked 24P Tempest that I'm going to try. Elevation does suck the life out of performance, that's why I was suprised you were turning a 24P on a CX20.

Last time I had my 24P Fury 3B repaired I had it blueprinted. Really didn't notice a difference. Maybe that prop, and my setup, doesn't benefit so much from blueprinting.

Not sure on the Fury but Marks Tempest really run. Most people on run a 24 Fury on CX20, it was not good on my boat.Slow hole shot, top end ok. Worked 24 tempest better everywhere.

Mark has worked a couple of Tempest for me, did wonders, I sent him a Fury to work, he told me straight up that he could not improve the performance very much on a Fury, he was not lying.
