    Ok im about over the battery Lead acid thing.. cant find anything in 1000cca. Thinking about going lithium
    Now im in unknown territory
    whats the equivalent?
    Dakota has a 12v 60ah DL1000cca $599how about this ?
    trying to stay in that price range

    I was afraid youd say that. im a little dumb to the amp hr need what tells us i need more than that 60ah? to be clear, im not disagreeing just trying to get an understanding

    Did you look at the list in the FAQ? Most of the research has been done for you....

    Mercury has not, as of today, approved Lithium batteries for use in the Optimax or 2-stroke engine lines.

    I did. Looks like I'm not doing a lithium any way. I did finally find the die hard I listed a few post above. 61 lbs blah but it is 1000 cca 185 RC So looks like im going with it.

    I ended up with the Napa 7234 commercial 1000cca 185 reserve capacity. First think I noticed was the motor did not bog when operating the trim or J plate at idle like it did with the other battery.
    That alone tells me its going to do a better job.

    With an Optimax, choosing a battery that exceeds engine only minimum required capacity is always a wise decision.
