    Suzuki 250ss Prop

Just got my new suzuki 250ss on my ranger z21. The prop that came on the boat is a 27p 4 blade prop. The boat ran 64.5 @ 5750-5800 rpm. From what everyone recommends, the solas scorpion is the prop to get for these motors. The only problem is I do not know what pitch I need to buy. Has anyone switch from the suzuki prop to the scorpion and have any insight?

    Thanks,

You should be able to safely run a 27P Solas Scorpion. If you are worried about hole shot and don't have a jack plate, then get a 26P.

I think the consensus is 27p, I run a 28p as the manufacturer tried both and the 28 ran better. Top speed 76 empty. 74 loaded, 1 person, 1/4 tank of gas.

My cougar came with a 28p Suzuki prop and I went with the 27 scorpion. I like it but could probably turn a 28. If you were closer I’d tell you to get a hub kit and you could run mine, but your a little far.

I got a 26p scorpion to try next trip. This weekend after a bit of adjusting I was able to hit 66.1 with the current zuki prop.

What kind of RPM were you getting? You running a 10" Jackplate?

I was reading old posts and maybe it's more about you not getting the sweet spot with the trim and the jackplate hight. Also do you have a ton of heavy tackle?

I have a 27p scorpion on 21’ Stratos and empty I can run 75-76 and loaded 70-71 tourney load.

These props make the Suzuki scream Have a 2023 250ss Suzuki also. Got the 15.18 diameter

    that’s also at 6300 rpm
