    BFL on Ouachita

For you guys not on Facebook with me....I managed a 2nd place finish yesterday and won big bass with an 8lb 2oz Ouachita stud. Had 17lb 4oz overall....missed the win by 7oz. Took home a couple pieces of hardware.

That’s awesome for Quachita. Congrats and can’t believe you didn’t take it with that. Must be fishing well.

It was actually tough overall. The 3rd place person had like 14lbs. Had my weight at 10am. Told my coangler that if I catch one more 3lber, I'd win but never got the bite. Held the lead for over an hour. Guy that won was like the 5th to the last person to weigh in.

Congratulations. Got some lunkers out of moss beds in Quachita back in the early 90s. Just slightly smaller than that one.

Congrats, man. I was out there fishing as a co. Did you fish in the clear water or stained/muddy water?

Brady would be the closest ramp to me....it wasn't "clear" by Ouachita standards but technically clear. It had just a little bit of color.

8lbs, 2oz. Wow! That's one fine bass Sam. And, congrats on your runner up performance.

Yeah, that happened to me once. About 15 or so years ago. Came in 3rd in the Central Pro-Am on Bull. It was a tight race. I was something like eight ounces out of first place. Got Ranger Cup money ($500) to boot. Wait. Come to think of it, I did get lucky the other night. It was my birfday! Does that count? lol

    Of course that counts...lol.

Had I managed one more 3lber, I would've been $10k richer due to the extra first place money and the Nitro reward money (8k).
