I've been having issues with my water pressure gauge not working. I had a mechanic look it over and he found the pressure gauge was routed to the speedo hole in the front of lower unit. Is this normal?

Yes and no. Some of the newer boats has a sending unit. In the bilge area. Water to the unit. Then a singular to the guage.
Don't know about blazer boats doe.
If has a hose on the back of the Guage and pipe to the lower you.
It has a bad guage or the sleeve in the head of the lower unit is stopped up.
Have him look there first.
Wood, ect gets in it and stop it up.
I have by hand use a small drill bit,to unplug it.
By hand only.
I don't even use minds any more.
I use my GPS on the depth finder, more accurate.
