    Plymouth N.C. ramp ????

Asking if anyone knows if it's safe to try and make that run? How far is it. We have a tournament coming up in May , I've never been there. And info is appreciated. thanks

Not sure what run you are speaking of. There are 2 ramps in downtown Plymouth that are used for tourneys just about every weekend

If you’re starting in Plymouth and going up river just have to use some sense but you can run all the way to Hamilton no problem. Just watch for floaters we hit one last year only running about 30 or so and just went over it. Some tighter turns going up where it narrows down. Going down and out of Plymouth you need to follow someone who knows a good path. Couple of boats the past couple of years have lost outboards going across the sound.

    ..

Motors have been lost because of not following navigation markers and running to shallow. Follow the markers till you are out in the sound and you should be fine. Run Roanoke to Chowan and Roanoke to Yeopium all the time. Going up the river, you will have nav chart for about 5 miles, if i remember correctly then goes away. Stay in the middle and you should be okay. And as mentioned watch for floaters, especially after flooding condition. Hope it helps and good luck. Great place to fish.
