Fellas- let's stick to helpful and constructive assistance. Glad to help but the senseless banter and multiple posts/engines aren't helping. If you have a problem in this area, get it to your dealer. Don't wait, don't try to fix it yourself, and absolutely DON'T start trying to tighten the set screw mentioned as that (alone) can cause problems.

If your boat is not at a dealer- it's simply not possible for it to be fixed by Mercury. That simple.
