Probably got in a fight over who was supposed to fish the baited spot.
They use food and bait to bait a spot and draw in the minnows.
Then the minnows draw in the bigger fish.
Then the "guide" hooks a shiner on a bobber and casts ot to the baited spot.
Then the bass eats the shiner.
Then sometimes the client sets the hook but a lot of times the guide sets the hook for her or him.
Then the customer gets to reel the fish in...
Then they take pictures and have the fish out of the water too long.
Then the "guide" says a 6 pounder is an 8 pounder.
Then the customer takes his picture home and brags about his 10 pounder HE caught.
The fish spends 5 minutes for pictures out of the water and probably dies in a few days.
LOL... I have watched it happen and happen and happen...

It is an economic thing. And it will not stop. I saw it on Stick Marsh for years and now Headwaters. Yeah, you use a circle hook... big deal. By the time the people hold the fish out of the water for minutes while everybody gets a picture with her ---- she will die and the type hook she was caught on is not relevant.

It is a lot like killing a deer that is fenced in a pen.

Watched two guys yesterday at the ramp pouring a bag of what looked like dog food into a large bin at the ramp, I can only guess they are going out to "bait" an area?
