21 TRX Prop to Pad height

I've got some questions regarding everyone's Prop to pad height on their 21 TRX's. What are yall running at? I am wanting to do some tweaking with mine. I've got a 2020 21 TRX, 250 Mercury 4 stroke. Boat came with the stock manual jack plate, 24p fury 3 blade from the factory. Will be measuring out its current p2p height this weekend. Although I do like to go fast, I'm not trying to maximize speed here, already got plenty of speed for my comfort. I've had it at 77.6 mph with a light tournament load and about 1/4 tank of gas but once I hit 70 mph, Ive really gotta drive it. I don't mind working through the chine, I just want to get the best ride I possibly can with my set up even if it takes a bit of speed away. I've always had a hydraulic jack plate before this boat and would dial it in best i could on the fly. This is my first time really tweaking a manual set up and just want to do it properly.

Boat is usually loaded down with far more tackle and equipment than any one man needs and typically between 1/2 to a full tank of gas in it. Just looking for a starting point to work from and tweak from there.

    Thanks guys

I would suggest 3 1/2” below and go up 1/4” at a time until speed or water pressure drops then down 1/4”.

Mine is at 4 1/2 right now. Running a 23 fury. Need a 24 fury. Solo max speed has been 73.7 mph at 6100 rpm. Today with partner 3/4 tank and 1 livewell full I could only get 72.4mph at 5900rpm. I think I need to raise it an inch and get a 24 fury. It feels really loose compared to my 2 stroke when nose breaks loose

I am skeptical of a 250 Pro XS turning 6900 rpms.

The rev limiter will not allow it.
