    Ice out thread

Last year I took the boat out 19 February. I say ice out will be about same day. Pulled my boat out of the garage and fired the motor up today. I’m ready to go!

I’m in south west Iowa and we still have 4”— 6” of ice. Not good ice but still there for sure. I’m thinking March 4th or the 11th could be my first time out hopefully.

I’m hoping it’s all gone by 1 March.

Probably close to 2 feet of ice up north here haha. Middle of march best case I’d say.

7-8 more weeks here on average. Groan.
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.

We are close. I was in the process of hooking the boat up this morning when my partner called and said ice reformed around the boat ramp. Next week looks good for weather

Your not going to turn your boat into a icebreaker?

I wish this was the MN section. I'm so sick of ice fishing and we won't have ice out til late march or april.

Was at beaver lake today there is still a bunch of ice on the main lake. The cove I was working in was open but several other coves still had ice in them.
