Don't blame him for carrying the gun. But 2 years for carrying seems a bit much, isn't there someone else doing really bad things.

If Mexico was ok with it being a mistake then no problem on that end. Bigger question to me is how did he board a flight in North Carolina to fly to Mexico with it and not have it found then. Was he flying private charter, or commercial? Typical of journalism today to not answer pertinent questions.

Reads to me like he got into Mexico ok but luggage screened when he went to leave Mexico ? Just hard to believe he didn't know it was in the bag. Good he cooperated & didn't get arrested but think my butt would still be locked up in Mexico. I darn sure don't take one into Canada when I fish Erie or St.Clair !
