Humminbird Helix 9 Transducer Cable Install

I've been reading many different opinions from all over on how to attach the transducer cable to the transom for the short run straight up from the transducer to the passthrough. I'll drill holes for clips if that is the best way. But which clips? I think the cable is 1/4" in diameter. I can't seem to find any marine type. Or should I use 3M 4200 to attach the cable without holes (I do not want to use 5200). If this is preferred, what is the process.

1/4” cable clamps (plastic). Th marine, sierra, blue sea systems……or anywhere that sells marine electronics (I would avoid hardware store because theirs probably won’t last long).
