    Trim tabs or Jack plate

2013 Crestliner VT17 w/ 60hp Merc 4 stroke. I've had 2 skiffs built with trim tabs. Loved them. With aluminum bass boats are there any advantages to trim tabs or is a jack plate a better option (or both)?

Still playing around with the boat and feel there is more to "get" from the motor for the sized boat. It's a side console and all I've ever run besides a 1436 Jon are skiffs center steered.

    Any advise is appreciated.

I had trim tabs on a semi-vee CC boat and they were awful. I had a JP on a Lowe 18HP and got 2mph and no lift. I would recommend a Spitfire X7, which gives tremendous stern lift together with overall lift at hole #3.
