You guys should look at salt water boats, even bay boats. Crazy prices.

"Reality Is Often Disappointing."
What I’m trying to say is I would probably pay $20k more today for that kind of deal. Things have went way up in price. Hell there’s probably people trying to get that price out of the same model boat today.
I repowered my 24 year old aluminum last year with a new Merc 115, good to go.
One of the reasons I bought an 18’ tin boat over five years ago. I looked at the price of a long block on a 225 Merc and decided I could replace the whole motor on a smaller boat if need be. I would love to have a boat I could use in bigger water, but I love paid for and not punching a time clock more.
I bought used early last year, prices were high but interest rates were good. I felt I was over paying but I really didn’t believe things would come down much if at all. I still feel good about my purchase. It’s also a boat I plan to keep forever, not just short term.
To go from 119K with all the bells and whistles to 100K price adjustment doesn't even get a rise out of me. Just not interested. I believe those boats have reached a ceiling.
I've been toying with the same idea. My payment isn't squat but I don't get to use it as much as I used to and I don't fish tournaments anymore.
The older model boats have more inflated values than 2-3 year old models from what I've seen.
A 10 year old 20-21' boat in good shape, without a ton of hours or an etec, is still mid 40's or higher. They're not really selling at that price, but they're also not coming off of those asking prices much.
Then most have outdated graphs and a fortrex that I would have to upgrade.
By the time I get new graphs, upgrade the wiring, slap an ultrex on it, and go through all the maintenence items on the motor, I'd spend almost if not just much out of pocket as I would to just pay mine off.
