Gas tank / Gas Demand Valve question

This is the tube going down in to my tank. The Gas Demand Valve plugs into this. Is there suppose to be any kind of gasket or o-ring in the flat round area before the valve goes in?

Just so you guys with RT's know. If you take off the Gas Demand Valve there is an O-ring where I show in the photo below. That was my problem. It was sucking air and not allowing gas flow. When I took off the ring it fell apart. Best 29 cents I ever spent. If you have an older RT might think about replacing it before you get stranded. Mine is a 2015.

Would you share the part number and source or how I can order one for a spare or I might just go ahead and change it. Where did you order/buy it? Good info. Thanks for the post.

If you're talking about the Gas Demand Valve, I got it from Back to Boating. 99IF99IFDV00-1 Integrated Fuel Demand Valve
If you're talking about the o-ring, I just took the part to a local business and they gave me some.

I was talking about the o-ring so I could get a couple of spares without pulling my existing one out... thanks.

I will measure my spare o-ring with my micrometer and let you know.
