    2013 Mercury Pro XS

Engine was giving a 5 to 6 second continuous bleep after each restart. Today it lost power and would not idle over 1100 rpm's. Any thoughts?

That continous beep is of the more "serious" nature and needs to be shut down and inspected IMMEDIATELY! I wouldn't run it again !

Do you have any Smartcraft devices? Mercmonitor, Vessel View LINK or Mobile or SC Tach/Speedo would most likely give you a plain language alarm information as it is occurring. It will save you time and money over the long run.
