One more question—AS GPS HS not recognized by Helix 15

I have an AS GPS HS mounted on the starboard stern corner of my Jaguar.
The antenna is connected in the cable tray to the com port on the 15, and I have confirmed the fit.

the antenna will not show up in my network assets list on any of the 3 Helix units on the boat.

the antenna at thr bow shows up across the network, and works fine on the console Helix 15.

    Any ideas on this one?

It should be listed as Ext. for the unit it is connected to.
You either have a faulty connection, damaged cable, or faulty antenna.

This is four displays, two AS GPS HS antennas, one AS GR50 antenna, and iPilot LINK as sources for GPS.

    Will Humminbird replace under warranty?

Replace or repair if warranty applies. Do you have the purchase receipt?

Have you by chance tried connecting it direct to another unit and checked status to confirm it isn't a control head issue?

    Wayne,
After considerable time on the phone, Humminbird and I have determined that the issue is not in the control head an that the AS GPS HS is not bad.
it seems that the pigtail from the HS that supports a NMEA 0183 is wired to a network that drives the Mercury Smartcraft gauges at the console.
for some reason this 0183 connection keeps the control head and the network from seeing the AS GPS HS.

ONE THING OF INTEREST—somewhere in the software upgrades, we lost the units to select different inputs and outputs for an 0183 network, and the ability to set baud rates. Apparently, the unit now defaults to 38,500.

Any thoughts on all this, please?

No, I don't have SmartCraft or any other engine data harness.

    Update—
Basscat has sent me a pigtail wiring accessory that connects to com port on the Helix 15, and has a Y cable with a red, white and green wire bundle that connects to the NMEA 0183 network, which feeds information to the Mercury Smartcraft Speedo gauge.

will let you know if this fixes my issue.
