    Wiring for bow electronics

Hey guys- going to be adding another unit and mega live up front. Total will be 2 units, mega 360 & mega live.

started taking things apart to see how I wanted to run wires, since I plan to run dedicated wire, and found the red mini post under the console. What is the purpose of that? I assume it is a junction of some kind just curious what it is for.

when going from the battery to the fuse block, should I attach the red wire to the disconnect switch only? Then the black to the negative?

i should add that my boat is a 2022 819
    thanks!

Screenshot_20221229-145505_Chrome.jpg for wire size if needed. Total wire length is both wires, positive and negative.

I have a 2021 819 running a Helix 10 and Mega 360, currently on the boat wiring. That post on my boat was loose! My dash graph kept dying. I ended up installing a power cut-off switch to kill everything.

As to what to run, I added a second graph at the console on my 721 a few years ago and pulled 10 ga to a fuse block installed in the starboard rod locker. You might consider that.

Right now I am starting the process of installing a Garmin 1022 and Livescope up front, but will run them off a dedicated lithium battery.

Power wire should have a fuse or circuit breaker within a foot of the source
