As someone who no longer fishes tournaments there are certain places now I have just completely written off. There are so many lakes/rivers in Florida that aren't well known because BASS or MLF aren't there every other saturday. They fish better than those "destination spots" could ever dream of.

Just look at the 1st day results for the Toyota Series to see how beat up the Harris Chain is. 260 boats made up of pretty good sticks, good weather, bass are in full spawn mode and only 9 people broke the 20lb mark. Pretty crappy.

Went to the Toyota day 2 weigh in yesterday. 5-7 pounders were Ho Hum take a photo and move along. Some big bags weighed in. Best story I heard was a guy whose lower unit went out. He fished just outside the off limits. He had 3 for 11 pounds. I think he got a check for 2,300.00. Never give up.
