HDS LIVE 9's and 12's or what should I do

So I have 2 hds live 9's now. One on bow and one on console. Thought about getting a 12 for the console and moving the 9 up front with the other.
    Or I also considered trading the 2 - 9"s for 2 - 12" lives.

What do you guys think the advantages or any disadvantages would be?

much of it has to do with your style of fishing and your budget…. If you do a lot of off shore scanning, your setup will be different than if you a lot of bank beating…

If you plan on getting AT, Basshopper is right, you want 12 up front for that.

And with the new active target 2 release, you’re gonna see a lot of guys unload their current active target so deals on a used kit will be plentiful.

Personally, I like having the two smaller (9”) units at the console. This lets me run one unit for maps and downscan, while I sidescan with the other.

    I ran a combo of 12 and 9 before I upgraded to 4 12's...

As stated it's all about how you fish and a bit of personal preference.

If you search/scan for structure/fish/etc then putting a 12" at the console would be beneficial.
If you intend to get Active Target at some point, or 360 even, then a 12" at the bow is more beneficial, alongside the 9" which you would keep for mapping or 2D typically.

Well, how old are your eyes? LOL. Mine are 54 years old and I wish I had gone with a 12 at the bow instead of a 9. Sometimes I have to bend over to see detail.

2 - 9s at the console is not bad, and a 9 and a 12 is not bad up front.
