    99 cobra 190d face lift

Ole 99 is gana be getting a face lift here coming up, front to back top to bottom update and refresh, replacing all I can with factory stuff and making the rest work. Thought I'd document some incase anyone else is doing the same before fishing season kicks off! First round will be fixing much needed stuff that is worn or broken. A few upgrades then new seats carpet and all that

Good luck. Can't wait to see the progress. Been working on my 98 for the last two years. Just installed trolling motor tray this last weekend. 20230131_165543.jpg

I like how yours is the exact opposite of mine haha. Looks good. I just ordered my recessed tray. Going to a 112 motor guide for this year then a ultrex next winter.

Today the hot foot, longer throttle Cable, trolling motor tray and th marine blinker trim switch come in. Later this week my second lowrance will come in and a mount for my iPad to mirror my screen at the helm, will be in giving me access to split views and use a big screen to run maps. Best feature about the lowrance ti units is the app to mirror image, don't have to buy a second unit to just run maps. Later this week all new deck lights, compartment struts and seals come in along with new flow rite valves and livewell pumps. This week will be a bunch of wiring as I'm gana clean up and re run all wiring adding a up to date fuse block to simplify what was there before. I will be sure to add tons of pics and details incase anyone is looking to do similar stuff

Keep up the posting. I have a 188 also. I did my compartment struts last summer, changed the deck and compartment lights to LED. My wiring I will never touch. Whoever owned it before me did a number on the wiring and I don't have the knowledge or energy to dig into it. LOL

I didnt Wana change the oem lights on the consul and passenger area, found out you can use those cheap ebay led lights and take the cover off and trim it to fit inside original housing. Whoever had the boat before me just slapped some led strip lights in them and they didn't work.

Hot foot in. Blinker trim is in. New front deck lights. Compartment seals, recessed pedal tray, but tm is now removed for ultrex to go on. Will be making a mount for front sonar.

That stuff is expensive! I went to an auto parts store and used car door trim, much cheaper and better It fit on the lip of the fiberglass and is much wider than the original trim and gives a better seal. It does take a little while for it to compact down for the lids to sit completely flush, but the rod lockers were good really quick, the back deck lids took a little longer to compact, but probably because they weren't being stood on much as I fish by myself a lot.

Compartment seals odd amazon, it's car weather stripping, like 20 bucks for 25 feet which did 2 front compartments.
