How many guys running a 3N1 on an Ultrex with a Carbon???

What are your thoughts and how did you mount and keep the transducer safe?? Is side scan an advantage on the front or should I just try to go with HDI with just 2D and down scan???

I do and it works great. I have it mounted with this. https://www.transducershieldandsaver...rolling-motor/.
It's not cheap but a product that provides really nice protection. I do like side imaging on the TM. I can move at a nice pace with SI looking for changes in the area I'm fishing.

I have a 2n1 at the console and a 3n1 on the trolling motor. Both work great no special mounts for either one.

Call Steve at BFE. He makes a nice mounting bracket.

Check out our RTL2000. I guarantee you will not wreck it and its 100% purpose built for your motor so it fits perfectly. 100% stainless steel also so less risk of motor electrical interference compared to an aluminum mount. https://rytekmarine.com/collections/...ng-motor-mount
