    Stripper pole on trick steps.

Anyone else took theirs off? I got tired of the harmonics of the thing when I traveled.

The harmonics are likely due to it being a tube. Try drilling a hole in it and filling it with something like sand or spray foam.

Have your trailer tires balanced. Sounds crazy but if out of balance it they will vibrate the trailer and transmit it to the step

Never noticed it with the boat on the trailer, only was bad when the trailer was empty on rough road

Mine aren't Trick steps and have square a sq pole. The potential for the round pole to vibrate is there at speed, height of the pole, the tow vehicle and how the air flows over it and around the pole. Add density to the pole by filling as suggested previously or change something on the installation of it. Don't have a good answer for you.
