For all you light jig & plastic anglers: a wire grip that prevents slipping

I hated when my plastic lures would slide down my jig hook after a few fish were caught and came up with a way to keep them in place.

First, I order no jig head barb that holds lures in place for a time. Unfortunately the barb makes the hole inside the plastic and doesn't do anything.
To make barbed jigs barbless that I have laying around, I crush the lead barb flat and then nip the lead off.

You will need pliers, 24g floral arrangement wire (Walmart sells it) and wire cutters.

Cut a length of wire as shown so that the end measures close to the hook curve:

I hold it and then with my fingers wrap one side around the line tie shaft tight.

Use your pliers to pull it even tighter, clip one end close to the shaft depress the wire's end close to it.

Bend the wire as shown which will be what secures the soft plastic.

The wire swings in and out of the lure: All of my jigs have wire grips attached.

    It never bother the fish:

Takes less than 3 minutes per jig and well worth it.
