    RT188 Tire sizing

My 15 RT188 came with 175/80/13 tires on it. I see a lot of 16 owners reporting that theirs came with 185/80/13 tires on it.

Are the trailer fenders the same / can I get away with running the 185? Not worried about width, worried about the extra 0.6" of height rubbing the fender on bumps. I rather have the taller/wider tire as it has a little more load capability. Either way, going to try out the newer Hankook Vantra trailer tires.

    Thank you!

My 2015 rt178 came with 185s and they will hit on bumps if your fenders are the same. I wanted to keep the larger tires so i went ahead and replaced the hex heads inside the fender with a rounded head bolt as I was losing chunks of rubber from the treads. The rounded bolts helped tremendously with this. My trailer is cleary marked 175's on the tags but it was sent with 185s.
