Dallas / Ft Worth Area fishing

I've got a new job with Schneider Electric and I'll be doing 2 weeks training in Dallas starting 2/6. I don't know for sure yet, if they have anything planned for the weekend in between, but if not I'd like to get some fishing in. I'll have a rental car so I can drive anywhere. I know O. H. Ivie is HOT but I don't want to drive that far. Would it be worth the drive to hire a guide at Lake Fork or Ray Roberts? Any recommendations?

Ray Roberts would be a waste of money. Fork maybe? still kinda early.

Thank you. I was in Orlando last week and threw together a guide trip last minute, and it was a waste of money. I don't want to do that, again.

You can fish the following lakes with / without a guide...February can be tricky. The weather is iffy and will impact the bite.

Lewisville = Bass Guide = Brandon Dillard, Catfish Guide = Fishing w/ Dak
    Grapevine
    Worth
Ray Roberts: Bass Guide = Dannie Golden, Crappie = Lt Dan Crappie Guide Service
    Bridgeport

Not sure about guides for the other lakes.

If I weren't so booked with shows and tournaments, I'd say you could fish with me on Ray Bob and show what the lake can offer.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

Texoma for stripers and maybe bass. Lots of striper guides there.

Thanks for the suggestions but I think I'm going to skip this fishing on this trip. Maybe I'll get down to TX again with more time to plan something.
