    Z19 Chime Walking

I have a 2023 Z19, anything above 67 mph the chime wants to start. Normally would not bother me but its at 5500 rpm, a lot of motor left...Any input would be helpful

I have a 2019 Z19 and same problem. What is your prop to pad? I currently am at 3 1/2". I did raise it to 3" and it still wanted to walk. And you can have these things really start walking around, it can get really bad. Please if you get anything figured out keep an update on here.

I have a Z20 with a 225, with talons, dual console. Boat was delivered in April 2021 with a ptp measurement of about 4.5 with a 23p fury 3 blade. I hit 70 on vessel view with this setup but only got 5500-5600 rpm range. Chine was definitely present and mildly dangerous above 66 in not ideal conditions. Then I went to 21p tp to offset the altitude I live in and to gain proper rpm's, raised up to 4.0 ptp, and then to 3.5, and at 3.5 ptp I noticed the chine was considerably reduced-- but I still have to drive it to avoid full onset of chine. With this setup, I hit 67 very comfortably at 5960 rpm's on the first run, mildly loaded, with minimal chine, then I ran out of lake. I have since raised it to 3.25 ptp to see how things shake out. Going to test both the 21p tp and 22p fury at 3.25 ptp hopefully this weekend at lake with long stretches.

I have mine set at 3" and mine still walks pretty bad. I have noticed when it is choppy my boat doesn't get to walk like it does when the water is glass.

I dont know how you fellas are getting these high 60's out of your Z-19's. My 2022 Z-19 might hit 63 on a cold morning. I am at 3800 elevation with a 21p tempest PTP 3.5" fully loaded with fishing gear. My hole shot and lift is great.

I see I goofed my PTP is 3.5" not 3". I did raise my to 3" and didn't see much difference so I took it back to 3.5".

The boat is now fully loaded added 3/4 tank of gas and 2 full live wells, 72 mph at 6000 rpms. Raising the jack plate seemed to do the trick and adding weight. It has a small up and down motion which seems like a trim thing. Could not tell ya how high as the hydraulic jack plate gauge stopped working now. But turning enough to break in the motor.

My Z19 would walk at top-end speeds when I first got it. Not long after, I accumulated too much junk and can't reach those speeds anymore... problem solved.
