    gen 4 helix 9 360 sharing

    I have a gen4 helix 9 up front that we installed 360 on last year and it works great, when installed it was ethernet connected to the old legacy 999 at the console. This caused all kinds of pop up messages and issues on the 999 so this year we upgraded the console to the gen 4 helix msi unit. Now both units are ethernet connected and I can see them in the networking menu, I can network 2d,si,di and gps. What I don't see is the adv tab or the 360 tab so that we can see the bow 360 image on the console graph.
    1) Boat is on the trailer in the garage does this only pop up when the 360 transducer is in the water?
    2) If not what setting am I missing to allow the 360 image to be shared?

    I have watched tons of videos on this but seem to be missing something. Thanks all.

    If it is the MEGA 360, its power has to be on so the Connected Transducer choices are changed to all related to MEGA 360 AFTER it is recognized by the unit.
    AND User Mode has to be CUSTOM to have all the menus. The ALARM menu is displayed when in Custom.

    The MEGA 360 when recognized will be listed in the Accessory Test menu along with its software version and serial number. If you don't have that, you have a power or connection issue.

    I think I follow what you are saying but will have to get in front of the units tonight. I was powering them both on but was looking in the network tab for it not the accessory tab.

    You will get a 360 column in the Network Source menu of both units AFTER the MEGA 360 is recognized.
    The unit's softwares should be the same.

    Okay now I am confused, I realized the front unit did not have the updated 2.760 software version so I downloaded and installed. Everything went perfect accept now I have no software tab in my menu. I followed the hummingbird website so I do not think there was a version I had to install fist but now I’m stumped. Am I just missing something? Gen 4 helix 9 mega di.

    Never mind now the sonar tab is there but not detecting the 360 transducer. Ugh

    Did you change the unit setting from Angler Mode to Custom Mode? After an update or reset, it defaults to Angler Mode and many of the settings will not be accessible.

    No clue what I did but now the two units are not connected and the front unit is not detecting the 360. Am I missing a step here? Sorry for the rant this shouldn’t be this hard.

    In the accessory test it says mega 360 unconnected. Now all I did was the head unit software update is there a concurrent download for the mega 360 I was supposed to do?

    What version of Mega 360 is showing? Should be 1.070 as is Wayne's picture above.

    Can you connect the Mega 360 to the transducer port of the other Helix unit?

    No it is not showing up in set up of the helm unit. Because it is not showing on accessory I can’t tell what version. It is one year old and worked fine before I just updated to 2.760. My guess is I need to update the software on the 360?

    The Mega 360 has only received one update that I know of and it was a couple of years ago, at least. I don't think that is your issue as it was a very minor update.

    Check the pins on the Mega 360 transducer cables to make sure none are bent ot missing. Also make sure all connections are tight. Finally, make sure you have power to the Mega 360 and the fuse ID good.

    Literally all worked right before the software change nothing else was touched other than putting the SR card in. This is in my garage, if it was deployed in the water would it pick it up.

    I think it's time to Restore Defaults on both Helix units. You were running two different versions at the beginning and that has been known to cause "confusion" on the network.

    Make sure your transducer selection on the Front unit includes the Mega 360 in the set up menu under Sonar tab. It may have changed from the default process during the software update. That's all I can think of.
