a little over a year ago I was doing a hard search for a new OEM lower unit and it was difficult to find one might be better now

There are the third party ones that most say aren't worth it

The only place I found one I would trust is BOATS.net

Wasn't cheap but those guys are top notch and back there sales

Finally figured out what the problem was with mine so I didn't need to purchase one

there are plenty on ebay but your just buying someone else's problems

just make sure you trust the people your buying it from

Also be aware, if you have a HPDI motor that the gear ratio is different. Learned this the hard way.

How do you determine that?

The 225,250,300 hpdi vmax has 1.75:1 gears. The 200-225 ox66 vmax has 1.81:1 gears. The 250 ox66 vmax has 1.75:1 gears.
