rough water bow mount for electronics

Many bass boats now have several graphs on the bow of the boat....i've watched a lot of videos with these boats running rough water and these units taking a pounding on the bow...what is the best mount to use (single or stacked) to minimize movement and damage of the units....and....how in the world do these "sensitive electronic graphs" take a pounding on the bow without damaging them??

First question: BBT [Bass Boat Technologies] or Precision Sonar mounts. Second question: they do get damaged sometimes, but in the case of sponsored professional anglers, they might not mention these situations for the sake of product loyalty. I have a BBT stack mount on the bow of my boat, and those units aren’t going to move.

This. I can say the BBT mounts are very solid. Dual stack for two Solix 12s on bow and dual for two Solix 12s on console, no issues.

DO NOT overlook, how its mounted. The mounts do not normally fail, how they are mounted is the weak link.

doubt any mounts are better than another at keeping them solid. Been using precision sonar for many years and no issues, good company and they back there products.

I fish Erie, St Clair and Ontario and have BBT mounts on the Ranger at both the console and bow. They include quality mounting hardware with the product.

Bass Boat Technologies! Van is the man, and makes a superior mount. Not only solid as a rock but looks OEM.

BBT and a light right foot gets the job done.

I think unless a guy is a pro fishing a tournament, it makes sense to drive the boat with the idea on mind to mitigate as much pounding as possible. If you don't have to run in 40mph winds, why do it? And if you do, do it smart

Rough water we put our 2 bow graphs in their bags and in the rod lockers when we run the rough stuff. We have 2-106 sv up there.

My BBT dual stack mount has been in some nasty stuff on Sam Rayburn, Grand Lake and never budges. Like somebody else said....the mount itself isn't usually the problem. Where it's mounted usually causes the failure.

i doubt the pro fishing a tournament would agree with that, they usually know how to drive there boat. No one purposely tries to drive there boat in a way that makes it rougher.

I have used Precision, BBT and Hennessey Outdoors. All three are great quality, solid mounts but prefer the Hennessey versions due to their lighter weight and more adjustability.

But you can't be one of the cool kids unless you keep it WOT even in 10 footers! All jokes aside, it blows my mind how many bass boat owners drive like idiots in rough water.

I see no mention of Boatlogix here. I have installed them all and I favor the Boatlogix as the strongest.
