Evinrude 200hp Vindicator piston order, compression

I am the new owner of 1991 201 Pro Stratos with a 1996 200hp Vindicator, model E200STLEDM. It needs a good deal of TLC, which it will get over time. Before I bought it, I test drove the boat, and it seemed really strong, but no GPS or speedometer. Later after the purchase, I found some a shop report in storage for the motor's cylinder compression test. First of all, will someone tell me the piston order on this V6 from the back of the motor? Second, the compression test showed two pistons a 120, three at 110 and piston 6 was only at 95. I've heard that a variation within 10 is safe, but I have a broader range, should I be very concerned? If so, what should I do? Can I do anything to help piston 6 get stronger without spending a lot?

I don't plan to run it WOT too often, but I am ready to try a good 24p Raker soon. I have a 5" Jackplate and its 3 1/2" below the pad.

I've also got a bent skeg on the foot of the motor, leaning left 1/2 inch and would like to know the safest way to get it straight without breaking it. I'ver heard that will could effect my steering when i turn, or will it hurt speed and handling?

    Thanks for the help,
    Curt

Probably would be a good idea to run a can of BRP Engine tuner or Mercury Power Tune through it. Cylinders are numbered 2,4,6 on the port side and 1,3,5 on the starboard side. A block of wood on the back side of the curve and dead blow hammer with gentle hits will fix it up, I'd let it sit if it isn't too terrible bad. Operating range is 5000-6000 RPM prop it for 5850 and it will be a happy motor. WOT water pressure shouldn't be any lower than 18 PSI.

I've run the Stratos 201 Pro twice now and if says 67.5 mph. Looking at the BBC numbers, I think that is about average for this boat with a 200 hp when its set up right, but a local mechanic said the boat should break 70. Before I saw the post above I ran SeaFoam in a small tank of gas and sprayed the carbs with it too. All that seemed to help it idle better. So should I really expect 72 mph with 40 gallons of gas? It would be fun to say I broke 70, but it was chimewalking very lightly at 67 mph. With my 24 Raker (in January) my RPMs also reached 6100 - maybe 6200 once, and I know that is too much. I think I should drop the motor down 1/2" before I invest in another prop or a bigger Jackplate. And from my experience, the muggy summers will lower my speed and RPMs.

Takes a lot to break that magical 70 MPH with a 200. I ran a 2000 200 HP Johnny on my 201 champ and the best I could get out of it was 67.8 with a perfect 24 Raker. Put a 2001 225 HO Johnny on it with a 25 P Tempest + on it best I get out of it now is 72.5. No chine walk 3.75" below pad at 5850 WOT 21 PSI. 7.5" Rapid Jack plate on it.

    Thanks ChampioMan!

And after using the carbon cleaner, all my pistons are between 110 and 105 compression! I reached 68.5 mph too.

i’m going to try another 24 inch Raker and 27 inch four blade shooter. My rpm is 6100 and I’m trying to get them down around 5850. I just back off when reach that high.
I’m 3.5 below the pad, and might lower it to 4”. My jackplate is only 4 or 5”, Hi Jacker.

3.5 is where I would leave it--the prop is likely tired and needs some tlc also or get a merc bravo1 based prop in a 23p or 24p--- 27 too high
