I always used to use the split-tail type, but after I read an article that Rick Clunn wrote on this I tried a 4" curly-tail ringworm and really like it. Unlike larger twister-tail trailers it doesn't create too much lift and it doesn't make the bait roll over on the retrieve like larger trailers sometimes do. They come in almost any color and add just the right amount of flicker behind the skirt.

Use to be the Zoom swimmin chunk but now I make my own. If I want a swim bait trailer I either use the ripper swim bait of slick shiner that I also make from a do it mold.
