They are yes they also the lowest priced option and a quality product that does the job as well as the #1 selling light. Its a light in a housing doesn't need to be overthought or overbuilt . Hydrilla has a light made with aluminum if you want to go the non plastic housing route, Henessey outdoors makes one as well. Cant say if the light used on either is 100 percent american made or not as I do not know. Most led lights are imported/sourced from a china supplier. These are the 3 options im aware of hope that helps.

+1 on the Hydrilla Gear - overbuilt and bright! No flimsy plastic clamshell, no replacing the led that burns out yearly it seems on most RMP's.

I looked at both but chose the RMP light. Cost and RMP backs there products.

Pretty sure all 3 brands are standing behind there products if needed. Would hate to have this post come across as miss leading to those who read it.

If price point is the deciding factor then the end user is not going to choose my product and I am clearly ok with this.
I am well aware that we are on the higher end of the market. None of my products are cheap in any aspect. If my products were built overseas then I am sure this unit would be 1/4th the price. I simply refuse to go over seas with any of my products.
Out selling other brands is not part of the equation for me. There will always be a market for those who want a quality product. Anyone who purchases a Hydrilla Gear branded product should know that the item they have is going to last for years and will is always backed by our warranty if needed.

Personal opinion and definitely debatable. Pretty sure the lens used on this light is 3rd party. It looks to be used on many marine light fixtures which are produced overseas. I do know I can order that lens or what looks like the same exact replacement lens right out of a catalogue.

Again to each there own. Glad yo found a LED that fits your needs

RMP one sucks in my opinion. Have the newer one, worked for a couple months, works intermittently… going to maybe try hydrilla gear one
