    Lithium as starter for Faststrike

Wondering about using a lithium as a starter/ power supply. Thinking that there is not as much starting requirement as some more modern engine?

See this link. https://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=1206712 Even though the engine is a later model G2 Evinrude, the content in the thread fits your engine.

Our 105 ah Powerhouse lithium Cranker would be ideal also includes the only emergency start button built right into the battery.

Didn't think our older stator systems would work with lithiums, but I'm not an expert. Why not just add a small lithium for your FFS and leave the starter you have in there now for the other stuff like starting the motor and livewells and bilge???
