Axles should be on their way, and with that we can final assembly the back end. We have started priming the front end.
Rickey Barnes is a master CRAFTSMAN, with a very obsessive attention to detail. Every metal part other than the hangers and tongue were custom hand built by Rickey. Anyone getting a trailer from him, will get exactly what they want from a true craftsman.

Saw his post on FB with it, any idea (ballpark) on what he’d charge to build the exact same trailer again?

Main Trailer is all primed and will be ready for wet sanding after a few days of drying.

We are going to shoot the trailer with black enamel later this week hopefully. We will also pin stripe it. If you are every planning on doing a project on a trailer that includes axles, just know if they are not in stock its 8 weeks thru Waymires. The axles are to be delivered today finally, and getting them to Texas from Indiana isn't cheap. Just a heads up.

Got the axles hung and we put it on the ground to see how everything fits. Gotta move the back step a bit back another 1.25" to center the fender up. Getting closer and closer.

Rickey shot the trailer with a HVLP sprayer with 4 coats of Black Gloss Enamel with hardener. I think it turned out really nice. Still have to shoot the steps but are getting closer to the final assembly.

Steps are painted and diamond plate has been cut. They turned out nice. We are going to install them today, and wipe down the trailer for the pinstripe. The cypress boards have been cut, and the marine 3/4" plywood for the fender boards, has been bought. Getting closer to the end, as the trailer has been registered with the State of Texas.

Steps are on, lights are all mounted for the last time, Pinstripe tomorrow. Also have LED lighting that will go under the inside channel for load lights (Red), with remote control. I will get some pics of the striping tomorrow, Red/Silver metallic.

Also, Rickey is building steps or cutting out the Logos if your's need replacing. He has already shipped out several sets to people.

As I said early on, I wanted this trailer to have a old school 80's look with updated features. Rick was able to do the majority of the trailer tonight, but we will have to finish up tomorrow and touch it all up Thursday. Rick is so good at everything he does, he is a perfectionist, and a true craftsman. But most of all, he is a very, very, good friend and neighbor. I really like what he has done!!!

Trailer is wired, we lit them all up to make sure everything was working. Bunks, carpet, fender install is all that is left. Probably take the holiday weekend off from anymore, but we are getting close.
