2023 Shock Study Tentatively Scheduled For Mississinewa:
Yep, it’s true. Just got the word the other day. This smallmouth study will include assessments such as population, aging, general health profiling, and likely even tagging & tracking.
To be clear, this study is targeting a four mile section of the upper river above the lake. However, what is gleamed from this study might very well lead to extending the study to include the lake. Per example, tagging and tracking might very well reveal seasonal migration habits that extend to the lake, which is very likely. And if so, then the lake itself will become an important factor in this smallmouth study.
So we’re getting somewhere. One step at a time.
