    Lake Fork Help

Me and a buddy have decided to make the drive and fish in Texas. Question is with the water being low how would I go about finding what ramps are open???? thank for any advise. And is there anywhere to tent camp?

Probably best to just call a couple marinas on the lake. Sabine River Authority website might have info also.

If you’re on Facebook there are several lake fork groups. They frequently post ramp info, Lake conditions and guide reports

Pretty sure Chaney point RV park ramp will be open. It was during the Skeeter owners tournament and I think the water was lower then by a little bit.

Hopefully the lake level will continue to rise with spring rains. They really messed things up when they dropped the lake level so much doing the dam repairs. It may take several years to return to full pool. The area is extremely flat down there and not having any major tributary feeding into it, little watershed, and pulling from it at the same time, the lake is having a hard time recovering. We were there last April and the lake level today is only 1 foot higher than it was in April.

Minnow Bucket and HWY 154 public ramp are both fine. Launched at MB yesterday and it has been fine all during this low water.
