Older monitor apparently with 3.03 software as that is what shows when first turning on. Then the letters stn1. I found a mercury smartcraft operation manual for software version 1.01 and 1.02. but not for 3.03 .
what i have going on is the bell alarm and the engine alarm is coming on and staying on. these are just visual alarms not audible. The manual says that it is a engine malfunction [the bell and engine icon will appear to inform the driver that an engine problem occurred). the other icons like oil pump,low water pressure,engine overheat,low oil reserve,water in fuel, engine over speed, do not come on. there is no indication of what the engine malfunction is. the motor was being run on muffs after a water pump install. At idle with the muffs on the water pressure was 1.4. I ran the motor on the muffs for at least 15 to 20 minutes. the motor had not been run for quite some time like at least a year and a half.
So with this information i would like to get this warning reset. Since the other major alarms did not come on and stay on, i can't see where there is any problem. The motor ran just fine .
That will do it, BUT: You need to check the warning horn. Horn should be emitting a warning with that sensor unplugged, and should emit a TEST BEEP each time you turn the key ON.
