    2000 mercury 200 Efi 0t067669

    Hi, I have a 2000 merc 200 efi 0t067669 that I am trying to take off the lower unit. There is a silver connector on the speedometer tube. Does this come apart to remove the lower unit or is there another disconnect for the speedometer tube?

    yes legris fitting depress end of connector and pull on hose

    Also should I have the engine in neutral or drive before removing the lower unit?
