    Livescope install on 2022 Phoenix

Friend want's me to install livescope on his 2022 Phoenix. I have installed several on other boats, not a Phoenix. What does Phoenix have up front for wiring, terminal strip, fuse block, anything. Where are you getting power for black box and Garmin unit? Can you mount the black box on the end of the rod tubes under the nose like a Ranger?

    Thanks
    Richard

I ran dedicated power wire from crank battery to fuse block pictured on the right. The left fuse block is from factory. Black box is mounted in the same rod locker. Phoenix runs 10 gauge wire to bow for electronics.

That fuse panel is rated at 100 amps I believe. Half of it is switched from the the control panel. Each circuit is 30 amp rated.

I just ran the stuff off the factory fuse panel in a 2018 20phx. Besides the garmin black box draws little to no power when the head unit isn't turned on either.

The series matters. Not just a 21 ft boat.

If it’s a 921 921 elite or 21 phx those will all have a fuse panel in the rod locker that will work as standard equipment.

if it’s a 721 it won’t have any power in the rod locker unless it’s ordered with that fuse panel upgrade.

Installed Live Scope on Phoenix for friend today. I can't tell you what model it is but it did have fuse panel in STB rod locker. Have installed lots of graphs and Live Scopes in different boats. Phoenix was easiest install. Have installed several Live Scopes in Rangers including mine and they are a PITA compared to the Phoenix. Stbd Gunnel is easy to run wires to bow on Phoenix and leave the job looking nice and tidy. Ranger has a rigging tube in STB gunnel and the rest of the gunnel is foam filled. It really makes it difficult. Ease to install forward electronics, I would choose Phoenix over Ranger. That's from a Ranger guy. LOL
