I can’t see myself making that swap to a 200. I’m not a tournament fisher, just a recreational fisher. I don’t need to go up and down the river north of 70mph. I’ll be just happy going double nickel getting to my fishing holes.

Why would you upgrade to a 200?

Because the hull is under powered with a 150, a 200 will perform better in every way.

Have the same boat with a optimax 150. Mine will run 59-60 on a good day. I need to give it a diet, last year it was more like 55 most of the time, but I have cabelas in it. Mine has dual consoles, so yours probably will run 62 or so.

That many hours, I'd check the tire age on the trailer. Probably the original's and I'd change them out regardless of wear.

The tires are actually only a few years old and like new. They were replaced by the original owner.

I plan on switching out the wheels and eventually switching to radials as it has bias plies on it now. They’re like new though obviously.

First big modification to the boat.

I got the old trolling motor taken off last night and hope to get the Force all mounted up and ready before the weeks up. Can’t wait to try this out.

2011 z7 with a 150 pro xs and before I had to send it to Nitro for a new hull it would run 62 with 2 adults lightly tackled and half tank of gas. Waiting on Nitro to bring it back so I can take it out and see how it will run with the new hull. I wish I had gotten a 200 pro xs on it when bought but it is pretty fast with the 150. It jumps out the water is on plane very fast, well with the old hull before it got soft at the pad lol.

What do you have for a prop on your boat? I have a 4 blade 23 pitch on mine.

Just curious how you're going to fit the TM pedal in the recessed tray? I have a 2006 and am going to upgrade my TM eventually as well, but I know the bigger pedals won't fit in the current tray. I think yours is the same size?

I have the Garmin Force on my 2013 Z7 and the pedal fits fine. It is actually smaller than the Minn Kota I took off.

Nice looking boat! I have had mine for going on 3 years now. I love the way it fishes. I have been on all the small lakes around here and St Clair, just have to choose wisely for the big water.

The Force pedal is actually smaller than the Motorguide pedal that was on the boat when I got it. I'll take a picture later on when I get the install completed.

I used to have a 2010:Z7 I had to add a bigger pocket for the Ultrex I added to it. I did it my self cut the deck out with a vibrating saw for bigger Ultrex peddle I bought a box from Tackle Wear House.

I ended up choosing to go with the Garmin Force so I don't have to modify the recessed foot well for the foot pedal.

I’m following this thread. I’ve got a 2015 z7. I’m anxious to see how it all turns out. I’ve upgraded a few things on mine but the biggest is a ghost and 2 elite ti2’s. Wishing I would’ve saved my money and got a couple of birds
