Prop suggestions

‘03 TR-21 225 Optimax. Prop to pad 2.5”. Currently running a 26p Tempest Plus.

I can squeeze 64-65 out of it with a light load, while hitting the limiter. Terrible holeshot loaded, and can only get to around 60 @ around 5700.

Suggestions?

I checked measurements again and P2P was actually at 2.75”

I dropped the plate 3/8” and will give that a try.

Still open to suggestions. Dropping the plate helped the hole shot, and eliminated the prop slip when getting on plane, but didn’t improve overall speed. Numbers are roughly the same. Biggest difference in the boat now walks a little more and is a little more difficult to drive.

What jackplate size? What condition is your prop? How many PVS plugs you got in? I wouldn't think you need to go deeper than 3"ptp. I would try going 2.5" below pad and see if that helps your top end.
