So is this a heated battery to be able to use down to -4 F ? Did a search but did not find this addressed.

battery does not need to be heated to be able to be discharged down at that -4 temp. No lithium does... Where heating comes in is charging a lithium. They will not accept a charge if internal core is below 30 to 32F. (Battery core temp can be accessed via the app) Once charging begins however the battery generates heat and charging will commence. Once a lithium is charged however it can be discharged till @ -4. Hope this will clarify things for you on how lithiums work.

ty for your business enjoy. With that emergency start switch built in one of the best lithium crankers on the market IMO However you will prob never have to use it, great peace of mind though.

Does the manual for the 105 AH cranking battery need to be updated?

There is a Notice saying not to use the battery above 113 degrees F. Does not agree with the above mentioned operating temperature range.

Another notice says to use only approved LifePO4 charger when charging. I can see where a guy that runs his motor a lot may never need to connect it to a standalone charger. Premise being that the Mercury alternator will be keeping the battery fully charged.

    These are the specifications period!

    Charge Temperature Range 23°F~140°F

    Discharge Temperature Range -4°F~149°F

Obviously any Lithium needs a lithium charger if it needs to be charged, if it doesnt need to be charged then it doesnt not sure what your point is ?
