    Lake Okissah

    Anyone know when Lake Okissah in Franklin county is going to reopen? Last I heard was spring of 23

    From what I can find, it depends on the amount of rain it gets. Supposed to evaluate water level in February then go from there.

    That’s what I’ve been told. They drained it way down hoping the crappie would have a huge spawn and to do a few projects around the lake and hopefully get rid of the invasive vegetation that had been brought into the lake. I’m looking forward to getting back on it myself.

    So who’s going to be there tomorrow? I have a doctors appointment in the morning, but may go after lunch. Maybe the line will be shorter by then. ��

    I went yesterday morning,2 hour wait in launch line, water is about 6-7 feet below normal. I caught 22. Total 4 slot.9 keepers.and threw back the ones shorter than 12 in. The wardens said a 8lb, and a 9.5 was caught. The slot fish i caught were between 4-5 lbs
