Trim on throttle not working

If this isn't allowed please delete. My trim on the throttle quit working yesterday. The trim on engine still works. I wanted to take the throttle arm apart and check the wiring but I cannot figure out how to get it off the boat. It's a 2007 Nitro. Please see pic and all help is appreciated. engage neutral detent throttle only pop out detent button with small screwdriver remove brass nut in handle slide off handle and procede
