    Ice out?

Anyone know any of the Eastern Kansas lakes opened up with the warm weather and wind? Clinton, Melvern, Perry?

Hope you can find one that's open. it thawed a lot yesterday. we have a 22 acre pond that had 4" of ice on it Tuesday. Checked it yesterday at 9:30 and was still 80% covered went back at 2:30 and was 80% open. Caught 9 in about an hour and a half on a rattle trap with the biggest being 2lb. Jump in your truck and head a couple hrs, south

If the wind is not blowing, I am sure Wolf Creek would be open. I am hoping to go there on Sunday.

How was Wolf? I heard it was fishing tough. Had a couple buddies go there Friday and they caught 1 largemouth and a drum in 8 hrs. We went to Lacygne Saturday and it was a very tough bite for us. Caught 5 bass and a catfish. Only 1 keeper in 8.5 hrs. Everyone we talked to said fishing was tough. Still had a blast. Anytime you can fish on December 31st its all good.
