    Bilge wire?

This came out from Behind the rocker switch for the bilge pump. Does anybody recognize this and can I just put back another wire without the connector?

Hard to guess accurately with that description. You need to pull the panel and look.

Maybe... a ground jump for the light on the rocker. Often, the grounds on the panel rocker switch lights are jumped from switch to switch.

Don't think even Carnac can help you without a picture.

That's a diode. No other wiring attached to it?

OK, what it's probably doing is blocking voltage from the bilge pump when the float switch is active. It keeps from powering up the Accy circuit. If you don't know what terminals on the switch it was and what direction, let me know the year and model of your boat and I'll see if I have a diagram.
